Welcome to Barkin Park!
Barkin Park is located at 300 West Barton Avenue in beautiful Lompoc, CA.
The park has separate "Large Dog" and "Small Dog" areas, benches, water fountains and dog waste disposal facilities. The fence and gates are designed for safe, escape-proof entry and exit for the dogs. There is parking along Barton Avenue.
All other materials and costs have to be funded entirely by donations. The Barkin Park Dog Park Committee, a group of community volunteers, oversees park development and assists the city in maintaining the Barkin Park Dog Park.
Mission Statement
* To provide an off-leash dog park where well-behaved dogs and their humans can exercise, play and socialize in a clean, safe positive environment without endangering people or property.
* To have a beautiful, well-maintained park for dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the parks's rules and regulations.
* To promote information and recreational activities that facilitate responsible dog ownership and better behaved dogs.
* To maintain a positive presence in the Lompoc Valley and encourage community involvement and recreation through Barkin Park.
